What StowPaste does
- Open with two taps of Command. Press the left Command key twice to call StowPaste from the app you are using. Record another shortcut in Settings whenever you want.
- Text, images, and files. Press Space or use the preview button to view an original image. Press Space or Escape to return. Images have their own tab, and files keep their names and locations.
- Favorites, pins, and groups. Favorite, rename, pin, and drag items into custom groups. Press Backspace to delete the selected record, then continue from its neighbor. Reorder favorites and groups around the way you already work.
- Your own appearance. Use the system appearance or create a local color theme, choose a history retention window, and launch StowPaste at login.
Clipboard history, images, files, groups, favorites, settings, and custom themes are stored locally. No account is required.

StowPaste is independent open-source software and does not use a paid Apple Developer account. The app is ad-hoc signed; the app and DMG are not Developer ID signed or notarized by Apple.
Review the source and checksum before creating a one-app exception for StowPaste. Never disable Gatekeeper globally.
- Drag into ApplicationsOpen the DMG, then drag StowPaste onto the Applications shortcut.
- Try opening StowPasteLaunch it from Applications once. macOS may say it cannot verify the developer.
- Choose Open AnywayIn System Settings → Privacy & Security, choose Open Anyway for StowPaste and authenticate if prompted.
- Grant AccessibilityEnable StowPaste in Privacy & Security → Accessibility. If an old enabled entry is stale after updating, remove it, add /Applications/StowPaste.app again, and reopen the app.
