What stays on your Mac

Choose a retention window in Settings, from one week to unlimited. You can delete individual entries, including with Backspace, or clear the full history. Deleting an entry removes its saved history and any unused stored image copy, while leaving the system clipboard and original source files intact. Favorites, pinned items, and items in custom groups are protected from automatic cleanup; that protection does not prevent an explicit deletion.
Image previews read the original clipboard image copy or referenced local image file on your Mac. Previewing does not upload the image to an external service.
When you ask for a custom theme, the prompt is processed locally to create color options. Theme prompts and previews are not sent to an external service.
If you email support, we receive the address and message you choose to send. We use that information to respond to you and diagnose the issue you reported.
The website requests a cached public badge endpoint to display the current StowPaste star count. That service receives the normal network information associated with the browser request. The desktop app does not make this request.
StowPaste does not use third-party advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising.
